Acquisition invigorates VDS’s growth ambition in the Rotterdam region
Rotterdam, 24 July- VDS Staal- en Machinebouw, metal construction company for the on- and offshore industry, acquires NAMI Constructions located in Ridderkerk. From now on, it will carry the name NAMI-VDS Rotterdam. Herewith VDS is giving shape to its growth ambition in the area of Rotterdam. The acquisition will strengthen and expand VDS’s scope of services. VDS, thanks to NAMI’s expertise, is now able to supply jackets for the oil and gas industry. With the acquisition, VDS expects annual sales to increase by more than one third, from 28 million to 36 million euro.
To strengthen each other

Further expansion in Rotterdam area
With the acquisition, VDS contributes to her ambitions to grow in the Rotterdam region. At the moment, the company is also investigating the possibilities for expanding towards the first Offshore Center of Europe, Maasvlakte 2. In 2016 VDS, in addition to its locations in Vlissingen and Eemshaven, opened its first location on Rotterdam soil.
